Environmental Policy:
Halo Lighting has been trading for over 20 years, supplying lighting equipment and services to the entertainment and live events industries. Halo?s main business areas are focused in the Sales, Hire, Design and Installation of lighting equipment and effects and in the provision of design and technical services to the industry. Although undertaking work throughout the UK and Europe, Halo?s main focus is in London where we are based.

Halo Lighting recognises that its activities have an impact on the environment. In all our activities, working practices and business relationships, we are committed to protecting, conserving and enhancing all aspects of the environment over which we have control or can influence.

We shall ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations and take action to continually improve our environmental performance and prevent pollution across all our activities, products and services.

In particular we shall:

? Take environmental considerations into account when selecting our suppliers and contractors.
? Consider the environmental impact of our lighting installations at the design stage
? Use resources wisely by reducing resource use and reusing or recycling materials wherever possible.
o We are currently implementing a full recycling program at Halo to manage all our waste materials, completion date: April 2011
? Improve the efficiency of energy use in our buildings and processes
o We aim to reduce energy use by 10% in 2011
? Minimise water use in our buildings and processes
o We have already installed water saving devices in our premises
? Prevent or minimise the risk of pollution arising from our operations
o We are introducing eco-driving advice cards to our drivers with an aim to decrease air emissions from our transport operations, completion date: April 2011

We will ensure this policy is implemented throughout our operations by:

? Ensuring all our employees understand the environmental impacts of their own jobs.
? Informing all suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors of the requirement to comply with this policy when providing goods and services.
? Periodically reviewing the environmental issues at the highest level within the organisation.
? Reviewing this policy and its effectiveness on an annual basis.
