Nestled within the heart of the bustling West End, Floridita London emulates the 1930s style of the legendary El Floridita, creating the perfect blend of glamour and decadence from a by-gone era. With deep reds, luxurious white leather and an abundance of crystal, this Latin-inspired supper club combines an iconic, vibrant restaurant with the infamous Floridita Cocktail bar boasting the most impressive selection of rums in Europe.
Halo installed a range of architectural and effects lighting across the main nightclub, Meza bar and Casa shop. In Floridita, architectural lighting illuminates the coves and banquette seating areas while 14 Par 64 LED and 4 x Par 56 LED parcans light the stage area. A projection system was installed along with an Optikinetics Solar 250 with rotating gobo. Small circular trussing was installed around the mirrored pillars and Showcad software was used to program a ceiling lighting matrix. Coloured LED downlighting illuminates the spiral entrance staircase while RGB downlighting is used above the wall pictures around the venue. A special feature is the subtle LED lighting inside glass cabinets that highlight the many bottles of vintage rum.
In Meza, upstairs, two Martin EFX500s provide effects for the dance floor area. In Casa, the cigar shop and cafe next door, warm white LED tape is used illuminate cigar cabinets and Latin American memorabilia.
